 | Destiny Islands used to be a lively place, that was before the apocalypse. When it happened, the only island that survived is the island that Kairi, Riku and Sora used to hang out on. The people have dubbed the island cursed and uninhabitable, so they live in boat houses, floating around the main central area where the mainland used to be. This is one of the few peaceful places, where heartless never go.

Ren Hitaro  | | Twilight Town - The Town eternally drenched twilight. During the war, this place got torn apart by every form of explosive known to man and then some. The place is mostly reduced to rubble, but the train to Yen Cid's tower still runs perfectly. The tower itself has decayed, parts of the walls and stairs completely gone. The underground passageways back in the main city are the only part that haven't changed structurally, but because they haven't been used in ages they're filled with cobwebs and heartless.

Thexas | | The ruins of Traverse Town, what used to be a bright city lit by neon lights is now a dull pile of rubble with sparks of electricity here and there. The bell tower is somehow still standing, but there really isn't a way to get up there. It rings every hour, spawning heartless if the previous ones were destroyed. If it's stopped, it'll summon a dreadful army to take out the one who stopped it.

Thexas | | What used to be a land of promise, the repairs having been just finished before the war, is now a land of hopelessness. The residents live in run-down shacks and heartless and nobodies pour forth from the castle. A heartless that resembles the demon swordmaster Sephiroth is said to stay in the ravine, slaughtering anything that isn't a heartless when they enter it's territory.

Jinzou Kitai | | This castle gives of the appearance that it was once majestic looking. But now, it's almost buried in thorn-covered vines. The only remaining entrance is one that the servants used to use, and even then - most adventurers don't stray inside, for there's a beast of a heartless wandering the hallways and many boss heartless have been known to spawn from time to time.

The ruler of the underworld hasn't been seen in ages, but the heartless like to rampage around the place carefree. The three-headed dog with a serpent for a tail - Cerberus - still roams the caves, and occasionally someone will go into Hades' layer and never return...
